July: 5 – the parade goes on and on and on

Jumpin’ Jehosaphat!  Here’s looking at you………..kid.047

One of the local radio station’s call letters are KDLL, hence the dill pickle hanging on the back of the truck.048

These marchers take “parade rest” very seriously. They would march in step, then ring around the rosy and as you see, take it easy!052Bee with a buzzzzzz…………  Remember the Daily Buzz coffee shop? This is their mascot.063

What a cute little “dolly” llama!064

This little cutie was tied to his mother’s tail.038There were lots of old cars in the parade.  Some had been restored, like the one above, but others had not.019

The American Legion Locomotive with a full crew of members kids.066This is a 1931 unrestored Ford.  Still looks pretty good.033This was my favorite!  Notice old Uncle SAM splayed on the hood. 026Strictly speaking, I know these aren’t cars, but they were interesting to watch. Snow buggies are used in the dead of winter.034Does this  57 chev. make you want to cruise the main drag and listen to Elvis?035This is a really cute little car.  I don’t know what kind or what year, but I like it.010

I always say that if you’re going to dream, you might as well dream BIG.  Jerry went fishing today so tomorrow we will return you to your regularly scheduled fish stories.  And he will have a whopper of a tale, so stay tuned.
